FEASIBILITY STUDIES

Studies aimed to deepen the practical feasibility of processing modifications to improve profitability or meet new specifications.

In this framework, we model the overall refinery performance before and after the intervention to analyse the project’s feasibility from the operational and financial perspectives.   

Our feasibility studies help refiners improve refinery performance by evaluating process configurations, operational constraints, and production opportunities. Using advanced analysis and refinery scheduling techniques, we identify practical strategies to optimize throughput, maximize profitability, and support informed investment and operational decisions.

The study scope, which depends on the specific project’s requirements, typically includes the following activities:

  • Assessment of pricing and demand scenarios for feedstock purchase and product sales.

  • Analysis of alternative processing configurations

  • Preliminary process checks to dimension the leading equipment.

  • Accurate evaluation of investment and operational costs for the designed modifications.

  • Analysis of the implementation phases.

  • Assessment of expected returns after the implementation.

  • Calculation of financial parameters (NPV, IRR).
